Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Psalm 143:1-2 presents a plea for God to hear prayer, acknowledging God's faithfulness and righteousness, while admitting no mortal is justified by human judgment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the psalm, hear the cry as a call to the I AM within. When you say, 'hear my prayer,' you are not petitioning a distant God, but turning your awareness toward the only reality you can be conscious of—the 'I AM' that you are. 'Give ear to my supplications' means you grant attention to the inner movements of desire, the thoughts and feelings that shape your life. In 'thy faithfulness' and 'thy righteousness,' you declare that the answer comes not from effort without, but from the alignment of your state of consciousness with the perfect order of being. To 'enter not into judgment' with thy servant is a release of self-criticism; you drop the picture of a judge within and stop arguing with your own sense of lack. For in thy sight shall no man living be justified—justification is not earned by works but awakened by the presence you cultivate within. The moment you assume the state of being already righteous in the I AM, you will discover the world shifts to reflect that inner decision.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, breathe, and assume the state 'I am heard by the I AM; I am already justified in the sight of God within.' Then feel the inner response of certainty and notice your outer world aligning to that inner shift.
