Psalm 143:1 is not a plea to an external deity, but a shift of your inner state to one in which you are heard. Hear my prayer is the recognition that your awareness can listen to itself; O LORD is the center of your consciousness; give ear to my supplications is the invitation to attend to your own inner movements. In thy faithfulness and in thy righteousness you name the steady, just basis of your inner life—faithfulness being the constant law of your I AM and righteousness the alignment of your state with what you seek. When you live in that truth, the answer is not somewhere far away but registered as the felt response of your own awareness. The line asks you to trust this unchanging nature and to forgo imagining the world as separate; instead, let the inner state of being heard govern your experience. Implied practice: hold the feeling that you are already heard, and notice inwardly how that conviction reshapes your outward conditions.
