Scripture Focus

7Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
Psalms 142:7

Biblical Context

Psalm 142:7 asks to free the soul from internal imprisonment so it can praise, with the righteous surrounding and God's abundant care promised.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine that the prison of your soul is a belief, not a wall. In the I AM, the aware presence that you are, every feeling of limitation is only a thought that has taken up residence. When you read, Bring my soul out of prison, you are not petitioning an external release, you are declaring the state you already are. The 'righteous shall compass me about' are the surrounding thoughts of harmony—trust, hope, and gratitude—that gather as you hold the assumption of freedom. 'Thou shalt deal bountifully with me' is the law of consciousness responding to a fixed attitude. If you, in your present moment, align with the truth that you are now free, the external conditions follow; your life rearranges to reflect the inner decree. The verse invites you to return to praise as the natural expression of existence when the mind has found its liberty. Your job is to persist in the feeling of freedom and let the outer world reorganize to mirror it.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of freedom now, and imagine the prison dissolving. Let praise flow from the I AM as the surrounding thoughts celebrate your liberty.
