Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
They describe a world where many turn aside and harm others. God is present with the righteous, and salvation returns when the true self is awakened.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner drama, 'they' are not strangers in history but states of consciousness that have wandered from the I AM. 'There is none that doeth good' is the mind’s moment of forgetfulness, not a verdict on you. 'Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge?' is the scene when you mistake the seeming abundance of fear and separation as real; you feel as if you are eating up your own people with worry and neglecting to call upon the LORD, which is your awareness. But in the generation of the righteous—your awakened I AM—there is a genuine fearlessness, because God is present in that state. You shun the counsel of poverty-stricken agitation by turning to the Lord as refuge, the living awareness that never fails. Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! This, in your inner language, is the moment when your inner Zion, the kingdom of divine idea within you, returns from exile. When the Lord brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice; Israel shall be glad.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and declare 'I AM' as your sole reality. Then revise the scene by affirming: 'In me, God is present; I am the refuge of the poor; salvation comes now,' resting in that truth until it feels real.
