Scripture Focus

11If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
Psalms 139:11-12

Biblical Context

The verse states that even if darkness covers you, God’s presence is near; night is light to Him, and darkness and light are alike in His sight.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the I AM that dwells within you, darkness is not a separate enemy but a veil over the light you already are. The psalmist’s declaration that night and day are the same to the Divine is a statement about your inner nature: awareness does not change with conditions. You are the very consciousness that names events as light or dark; as you hold the I AM steady, fear dissolves and the sense of separation melts. When you feel surrounded by darkness, imagine that the light of your own awareness shines through it, revealing that nothing hides from your true self. The body may call it night, but the I AM within you reads it as a shift of perception, not a change of reality. This is Providence: your inner sight is constant, and it governs experience by being the light in which all things appear. Thus the apparent contrast between night and day vanishes when you insist that you are the one who illumines both, and that illumination remains eternal regardless of circumstance.

Practice This Now

Assume and feel: I AM the light that makes night and day alike within me; darkness is but a shade of my awareness. Rest in that certainty until it feels real.
