Psalms 139:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 139 in context

Scripture Focus

1O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Psalms 139:1-2

Biblical Context

Psalms 139:1-2 says God has examined me, knows when I sit or rise, and understands my thoughts even from afar.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you the I AM is the watcher who has searched you and knows you completely. The LORD in this Psalm is not a distant judge but the awareness that you are. Your downsitting and uprising are the rhythms of your present state; your thoughts afar off are no threat to this inner Knowing, for they are seen by the same I AM that observes your actions. To live in this truth, you must assume and feel the state of being the KNOWER—identify as the consciousness that knows all you do and think. When you speak or think, you are already being watched by the inner self; therefore, revise your inner state rather than trying to change God. If you choose to dwell in the awareness that knows all, your world follows that state; your actions and thoughts become expressions of the One Living Presence within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, adopt the I AM within as the knower of you, and silently affirm, 'I am the All-Knowing Presence; I know my thoughts and steps now.'
