Scripture Focus

6Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
7Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
Psalms 138:6-7

Biblical Context

The verse says the LORD honors the humble while the proud remain distant; in trouble, He revives you and saves you by His mighty hand.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the LORD in this psalm as the I AM within you—the high state of consciousness you awaken to and rest in. He regards the lowly as the mind that yields the outward parade of pride and accepts the quiet truth that you are known and held by God. The proud, by contrast, He knows afar off, for their sense of Self remains apart from that higher awareness, dreaming on the surface rather than dwelling in the inner Presence. When you walk through trouble, the verse says, you will be revived by the touch of that Power. Your right hand, the activity of your inner God, reaches out to steady you, to remove the shock of conflict, and to bring you to safety. The enemies are fear, doubt, and harm imagined in separation; they vanish as you anchor your awareness in I AM, the one who saves. The instruction is to dwell in the felt sense that you are already saved, protected, and renewed by the Presence you call God. Persist, and revival becomes your habitual state, and your life moves from disturbance into clarity, guided by the intelligent love within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of being revived and saved now. Let I AM speak through you and declare I am humble, I am saved, I am held by God, and feel the right hand of power upholding you.
