Inner Light of Mercy

Psalms 136:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 136 in context

Scripture Focus

7To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Psalms 136:7

Biblical Context

The verse praises God as the maker of great lights—sun and moon—whose mercy endures forever.

Neville's Inner Vision

To him that made great lights evokes the inner creator—the I AM within who fashions every scene of my life. The sun and moon are not distant heavens but steady expressions of my awareness illuminating day and night. The mercy endureth forever is the law of this state: grace and constancy in my consciousness that do not fail, no matter appearances. When I dwell in the assumption that I am the light, my world shifts to order, harmony, and creative potential. If lack or fear arise, I recognize them as temporary shadows in my inner sky and revise by affirming, I am the light that lights my world; mercy endures in me now. Imagination is the instrument by which I create; by remaining in the feeling of the wish fulfilled, I watch the inner light radiate through every circumstance, turning night into day and bringing experiences that reflect the mercy that never ends.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and picture the sun and moon rising inside your chest; declare, I am the light of my world, and mercy endures forever. Hold that feeling until it feels real.
