Read Psalms 136 in context

Scripture Focus

11And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever:
12With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:11-12

Biblical Context

Psalm 136:11-12 speaks of delivering Israel with mercy that endures forever. The strong hand and stretched arm symbolize God’s constant, active compassion.

Neville's Inner Vision

Israel is your inner self, not a distant nation. Mercy endureth forever points to the steadfast I AM within, which never fails to respond. When the Psalm says deliver out of them, it means awakening from the crowd-mentality of fear and limitation. The strong hand and stretched out arm are the decisive acts of your inner conviction, the I AM that reaches to lift you from bondage and place you in the liberty of your true identity. This mercy persists because awareness itself is always present; it is not subject to mood or circumstance. Thus you do not beg for deliverance—you assume it. Align with your I AM and you dissolve the sense of separation, entering the land of freedom within where you are no longer among the 'them' of doubt.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and breathe into the I AM. Then feel and declare, 'I am delivered now,' and visualize Israel stepping out from among them, led by a strong, outstretched arm of awareness.
