Inner Kingship of Psalms 132
Psalms 132:9-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 132 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage invites an inner covenant of righteousness for the inner priesthood and celebrates the joy of alignment with the anointed self. It proclaims that God's oath to David remains firm, and that righteous living will secure a lasting throne within the mind.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture the priests within you clothed with righteousness, not by ritual but by a conscious assumption of the I AM. When you entertain this image, the saints in your chest cry out with joy, for you have remembered the truth of your own anointed nature. The line about David points to the kingly you—your inner David—that your attention honors and never withdraws from its face. Do not turn away from that face; keep it present, and the feeling of rightful rule settles into your being. The Lord's oath to David is a law in your imagination: the seed of your thought will be set upon a throne of inner dominion. If your children—your future states of consciousness and creative faculties—keep the covenant you learn from the still, guiding voice, they will sit upon that throne as you persist in the practice. This is not future fear; it is the present recognition that your interior world governs your outer experience through unwavering fidelity to the covenant you teach yourself.
Practice This Now
Assume now that I am clothed with righteousness and reign in the inner temple. Feel the I AM seating me upon the throne of my consciousness and let this image remain for a few minutes.
