Read Psalms 128 in context

Scripture Focus

5The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
Psalms 128:5

Biblical Context

The verse promises a blessing that flows from Zion, the inner sanctuary, and you will continually see Jerusalem’s good all your days. It hints that God’s presence guides your life through inner faith and perception.

Neville's Inner Vision

To me, Zion is the I AM within you—the waking state of awareness that blesses you now. The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion is the inner movement whereby grace flows from your consciousness into every scene of life. Jerusalem denotes the peaceful kingdom you inhabit in mind; to see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life is to keep a steady image of your fulfilled state, regardless of outer appearances. Providence and Covenant Loyalty become living principles, not future events: when you dwell in Zion, guidance arises from within; you align thought with that inner blessing, and life rearranges itself to reflect it. Your experiences become evidence of an inner reality, and 'the days' are simply durations you keep the inner Jerusalem in sight. Return often to the feeling of being blessed, and you will discover the day-by-day presence of good.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling: I am blessed from Zion within. See yourself living each day in Jerusalem’s goodness, and revise any doubt to 'I am now blessed and perceiving good.'
