Read Psalms 127 in context

Scripture Focus

3Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
Psalms 127:3-5

Biblical Context

Psalm 127:3-5 presents children as God's heritage and the fruit of the womb as His reward; they are like arrows in a mighty man's quiver, bringing blessing and protection.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the psalm, heritage is not a numeric number but a state of consciousness you cultivate. When you call children a heritage, you acknowledge that your inner life births and guards what you truly desire. The arrows in the hand of a mighty man symbolize the precise, purposeful movements of your imagination—thoughts and feelings aimed at a clear end. To claim that your offspring, or your projects and loves, are the fruit of the womb of Spirit is to accept that blessing comes from within, not from without. The gate represents the arena of action where you stand in the awareness of Providence and speak with enemies—doubt and lack—by declaring your inner reality as already true. A man with a full quiver lives in the certainty that his world reflects the inner state from which it sprang. So cultivate an inner posture of abundance and protection, continuously returning to the I AM and allowing your realized images to determine the outward scene.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume you already dwell in fullness; envision your life as a quiver filled with blessings and your gate secured by inner certainty. Then repeat inwardly, 'I AM,' allowing that knowing to revision your day into alignment with the inner truth.
