Read Psalms 126 in context

Scripture Focus

3The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Psalms 126:3-6

Biblical Context

The psalm celebrates God's past deliverances and promises future restoration: captivity turned, sowing in tears yielding joy, and a joyful return with harvest.

Neville's Inner Vision

126:3-6 invites you to read your life as a statement of consciousness. The captivity spoken of is a state you have accepted in your mind, not a prison in history; the Lord is the I AM behind awareness, the living current that makes all things possible. The streams in the south symbolize the nourishing flows of life that respond when you refuse to identify with limitation and let imagination lead. When you sow in tears, you are planting a seed of intention in the soil of feeling; the seed is a clear end-image formed by your I AM and your wish. As you dwell in that image with steady feeling, the subconscious law works to render it real. Going forth and weeping with seed means you venture beyond familiar thought, carrying faith as your instrument; coming back with rejoicing means your inner state returns to fullness, bringing sheaves—new beliefs, conditions, results. The word 'doubtless' is the assurance that the inner act, made in consciousness, will translate to outer life. This is not external luck; it is imagination becoming reality through the I AM that you are.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and assume the end state you desire. Say, 'I AM free now' and 'I have sown the seed of [desire],' feeling the truth of it as already done, and allow your inner harvest to unfold.
