Dream of Deliverance Realized
Psalms 126:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 126 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It portrays God’s rescue of Zion as a past deliverance that feels unreal, like a dream. The response is joy: laughing, singing, and grateful praise that God has done great things for Israel and for us.
Neville's Inner Vision
Psalm 126 invites you to notice that the LORD turning the captivity of Zion is a turning of your inner state. The LORD is your I AM, awakening to the awareness that you are already free. Zion stands for the inner peace you seek; captivity is any belief that you are bound by lack, sorrow, or delay. When you acknowledge this shift, the dream-like reversal becomes your daily reality; laughter returns to your mouth and singing fills your heart as if the end you desire has already occurred. The nations’ words, The LORD hath done great things for them, reflect the truth you claim for yourself in your own consciousness. God hath done great things for us, for you, in this moment, as your inner triumph converts outward conditions. Do not seek deliverance in a future event; instead, dwell in the end, and the manifestations will follow. The more consistently you live from the I AM, the more your surroundings harmonize with the joy and gratitude you feel. This is not fiction; it is the natural expression of consciousness turned toward its own victory.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit in quiet and assume the end has already happened. Repeat, 'I am free now, and my mouth is filled with laughter and singing,' and feel the certainty in your chest for a few minutes.
