Dream of Zion Restored

Psalms 126:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 126 in context

Scripture Focus

1When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
Psalms 126:1-2

Biblical Context

Zion's captivity is reversed, awakening a dreamlike reality. Their joy and praise then overflow, drawing notice from others that God has done great things for them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the psalm is spoken to your own consciousness. 'Turned again the captivity of Zion' means your inner state has shifted from bondage to liberty, not by force of circumstance but by the I AM you are. The 'LORD' is the I AM within you; when it turns, your mind awakens as if from sleep, and the dreamlike sense of constraint dissolves. Then your mouth fills with laughter and your tongue with joyful song because you have allowed a new vision to rule you. The external witnesses—your surroundings, the people who once questioned you—now remark that the Lord has done great things for you, which is simply the natural mirroring of your inner conversion. This is restoration in psychology: a complete reorientation of belief and feeling until what you once imagined becomes your lived atmosphere. You are not forced to wait; you are invited to assume the end and dwell there until your heart speaks in song. The change begins in you, and the world steps into alignment with the new inner Zion.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of your dream realized, whispering, 'I am free now.' Stay with that sensation until laughter and singing rise from within, and notice your surroundings reflecting this inner turn.
