Read Psalms 125 in context

Scripture Focus

3For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
Psalms 125:3

Biblical Context

The verse promises protection for the righteous from external threats; by maintaining a steady inner consciousness, negative forces cannot lodge in your inner estate, lest you be tempted into wrongdoing.

Neville's Inner Vision

Psalm 125:3 speaks in the language of your inner commonwealth. The rod of the wicked cannot rest upon your lot—your inner estate—so long as you are conscious of your I AM and refuse to identify with fear, lack, or temptation. The outer world distributes pressure, but it cannot take root where you have not given it permission by belief. Therefore, the righteous do not reach for iniquity; they stand in the awareness that they are that which they affirm. Your present experience is a translation of your inner state; keep your state intact and the rod dissolves from its grip. See all appearances as mere vibrations in your mind, not realities in themselves. When you notice a tempting image, simply revise to the truth: 'I am the I AM; nothing touches my inner estate except what I approve.' In this way you do not fight the rod but shift your inner alignment, and the external rod loses its potency.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and claim in the present: 'I am the I AM; nothing touches my inner estate except what I approve.' Visualize a bright shield of light surrounding your inner lot and rest in the feeling of unwavering wholeness.
