Round About Peace Within
Psalms 125:2-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The Psalm portrays God encircling His people with protection. The righteous are kept from harm, and peace rests on those who are upright in heart.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture the mountains that guard Jerusalem as the unshakable circle of your own awareness. The LORD, your I AM, is not distant but surrounding you forever, a constant air of divine attention within which you dwell. The 'rod of the wicked' cannot rest on your lot when you remain rooted in the uprightness of your heart; temptation loses its grip where you know yourself as the witness, not the wounded. In this light, 'Do good' becomes not merely external acts but the natural expression of a clear, centered consciousness—an alignment with the good you already are. If you drift toward crooked ways, recognize that the Lord will gently lead you away, not with punishment but with the consequences of a thought rightly redirected. And so, peace rests on you—on your inner Israel—when you stay in harmony with the I AM. Your life is kept in the roundabout embrace of divine presence; rest in it as your permanent state, and outward conditions fall into place.
Practice This Now
Assume the Lord is round about you and feel that protective circle as your own I AM. Then rest in the conviction that peace is your natural state.
