Encircled By Divine Presence

Psalms 125:2-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 125 in context

Scripture Focus

2As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
3For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
4Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
Psalms 125:2-4

Biblical Context

God surrounds His people like mountains around Jerusalem, offering lasting protection. The righteous should keep their hearts upright to stay on the path of goodness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the mountains as the steadfast frame of your inner awareness, surrounding Jerusalem—the core of your being. In this light, the Lord is the roundness of your I AM, ever-present, guarding your life from pressure that would bend you toward error. The 'rod of the wicked' cannot rest on your lot when you know you are one with good; pressure persists only where belief in separation remains. Therefore, cultivate a state in which thoughts, words, and deeds rise from an upright heart—the heartbeat of truth, mercy, and justice. When you act from this center, you do not fight sin so much as refuse to authorize it in your inner world. Your Providence is the felt sense of being held by love, here and now, not a distant fate. Do good as the natural overflow of your inner alignment. This is the law of your life: the more you rest in this presence, the more your world reflects it.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, imagine the mountains circling you, the I AM surrounding every move. Then inwardly declare: I am upright in heart, and I live within the protection and guidance of God today.
