Rock of Zion: Secure Trust

Psalms 125:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 125 in context

Scripture Focus

1They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
2As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
Psalms 125:1-2

Biblical Context

The psalm says those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion—unmovable and enduring forever. The LORD surrounds his people, as mountains encircle Jerusalem, offering perpetual protection.

Neville's Inner Vision

Trust in the LORD here becomes a state of consciousness, not a destination on a map. Zion signifies your unshakable mode of awareness, the inner rock that cannot be moved. The mountains round about Jerusalem are the invisible circles of presence surrounding your I AM, keeping you safe as you live from the center of God-imagining. When you trust the LORD, outer events cannot alter the truth you hold in mind: that you are held by a constant, protective awareness. The Lord's roundabout presence is your inner weather, a circle that does not collapse when winds howl. You are protected by the very structure of consciousness, which remains intact while appearances change. To practice this is to revise your sense of self toward security—acknowledge that your life is nested within the divine awareness that cannot be undone, now and forever. In this sense, security is not a possession but a perception that becomes your experienced reality through faith in your I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the feeling I am the I AM, surrounded by divine Presence, and know you are encircled by protection. Visualize mountains encircling you, a living boundary that cannot be moved.
