Inner Deliverance in Psalms

Psalms 124:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 124 in context

Scripture Focus

6Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
Psalms 124:6

Biblical Context

The verse blesses the LORD for protection and deliverance. It declares that we are not given over to those who threaten us.

Neville's Inner Vision

Blessed be the LORD reveals the inner truth that the LORD is the I AM within you, the steadfast awareness that cannot be overpowered by appearances. When you understand that you are not given to the enemies of fear or circumstance, you become the protector of your own life by shifting your center of gravity back to consciousness. The 'teeth' of those threats are but thoughts gnashing against your sense of separateness; they lose their bite the moment you claim your true identity as the one who experiences as God. The blessing comes as a present-tense reality: you are delivered because you are consciously aligned with the Source that upholds you. Thus the deliverance is not a distant rescue but a revival of your inner state, a returning to the awareness that you are never prey to anything. As you dwell in that awareness, the inner fortress strengthens and the outer world recedes as a mere image. The LORD within becomes your immediate protection, and fear dissolves into gratitude for the security of your own I AM presence.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume: I AM is my shield, and I am safe now. Feel the deliverance as a present reality.
