Who is the 'LORD on our side'? To Neville, the Lord is the I AM—your indwelling, self-aware presence. When enemies rise, they are not external conquerors but signals to awaken to your true identity. If you forget this, you feel vulnerable; if you remember, you are shielded by the awareness that God is the awareness you wear. The 'on our side' implies a constant support, a Providence & Guidance that directs events as you maintain faith in the Self. The practice is to assume this inner condition, to revise fear into trust, and to dwell in the feeling that the I AM stands with you, guiding every scene toward good. By aligning with this inner presence, you dissolve the power of outer opposition—the adversaries rise only to reveal your capacity to remain in the truth of your unity with God.
