Keeper Of Presence: Inner Faith

Psalms 121:4-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 121 in context

Scripture Focus

4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
Psalms 121:4-6

Biblical Context

God watches over Israel and does not sleep. The LORD is your keeper, shading you by your right hand and guarding you by day and by night.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within these lines you are not hearing of a distant watcher, but awakening to the fact that the keeper is your own state of consciousness. The Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps is the I AM you are presently aware of, the very presence that stands between you and the seeming world. To interpret is to revise your sense of separation: place your attention where you stand, and know that protection accompanies every thought and sensation. The shade on your right hand is the posture of conscious alignment—acting from awareness rather than fear, moving in harmony with your own inward guard. The sun and the moon symbolize changing appearances in the outer conditions, yet they cannot wound the man or woman who lives in the unshakable certainty of the I AM. Your life is protected by the continuous activity of awareness that never sleeps, an inner father and mother that keeps you through day and night. Rest in that truth and watch your experiences shift to reflect a realized presence that cannot be harmed.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: For 2–5 minutes, assume the feeling, 'I AM kept by the I AM now.' Visualize the shade at your right hand and rest in the sense of constant protection, until it feels real.
