Exalted Truth, Inner State
Psalms 12:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 12 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse notes that wickedness seems to prosper and roam freely when the vilest are exalted.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the language of Psalms, the scene of the wicked walking is an image of a state of consciousness. It does not condemn others so much as reveal how outward events mirror inner beliefs. When you perceive the vilest men exalted, recognize you have accepted a thought that value is determined by appearances and power. To counter this, enter the consciousness I call the I AM, the eternal awareness that notices purity, integrity, and holiness as the only true currency. In this frame, righteousness is not a weapon against others but a steady inner law by which you judge what you permit in your life. Assume that virtue is exalted now and feel that exaltation as real. See the inner court where you stand, guarding your thoughts, refusing to applaud dysfunction, and allowing only holiness to rule your choices. As you dwell in that state, the outer world will begin to reflect it, since events follow the inner assumption. The warning of the verse becomes a summons: align with the truth that your inner state creates your world, and the wicked decline in the glow of your chosen integrity.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling that righteousness is exalted in your life now; dwell for a few minutes in a scene where purity governs every decision.
