Biblical Context
Psalm 12:2 notes that people speak vanity to their neighbors, with flattering lips and a double heart, signaling a gap between inner truth and outward speech.
Neville's Inner Vision
Psalm 12:2 shows a world where men bow to vanity, flattery, and a divided heart. In my teaching there is not two worlds—there is one I AM that voices all. The neighbor you accuse or admire is the other side of your own consciousness, a projection of what you believe about yourself. When you hear flattering lips or deceptive speech, you are being shown a belief of lack or separation within you. The cure is to assume the opposite state: to fix your inner speech to be true and whole. Assume the truth of perfect unity: I AM the speaker of truth; my words are just and of a single heart. As you persist in this revision, your outer world acts as a faithful echo, reflecting a harmony you have adopted inwardly. Practice living as the man who speaks without duplicity, knowing that the I AM within is always complete, and your relationships become a classroom for the realization of that inner coherence.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume you are speaking with a neighbor from a single heart and feel the truth of that alignment; repeat a phrase I speak truth here until it feels real.
