Inner Word, Inner Peace

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalmist faces persecution yet remains steadfast in reverence for God's word, finding joy in truth, choosing righteousness, and experiencing deep inner peace as a result.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine the word of God as the living law of my own consciousness. When I study Psalm 119:161-168, the princes who persecute are only outer appearances; the real me stands in awe of the I AM revealed by the word. My heart does not bow to circumstance; it bows to the immutable order of truth within. To rejoice at thy word is to cherish the inner spoil—the riches of alignment, clarity, and a steady feeling-state that cannot be shaken by outward attack. I hate lies and love thy law because truth is freedom; seven times a day I praise the inner judgments because they untie fear’s knots and bring me into peaceful stillness. Great peace have they which love thy law; and in that peace nothing shall offend me. If I have hoped for thy salvation and kept thy commandments, know that salvation is the realization of my I AM in harmonious action. My soul keeps thy testimonies and loves them exceedingly, and my ways are before thee, as the I AM walks in the awareness of thy word.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM as your only reality; repeat, I AM the law of God in action, and nothing shall offend my peace. Then feel the quiet certainty rise as the inner word takes dominion over surrounding appearances.
