Inner Praise and the Light Within
Psalms 118:26-27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage blesses those who come in the LORD's name and declares that God is the LORD who has shown us light, while inviting the binding of the sacrifice to the altar as an inner discipline.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the blessed one is not a person crossing a boundary but a state of consciousness that emerges when I name myself with the LORD, the I AM within. The 'house of the LORD' becomes my inner sanctuary, the dwelling place of I AM. God is the LORD, which hath shown us light: light is the living recognition of my own awareness, the lamp by which realities are seen. The instruction to 'bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar' is a call to discipline my thoughts—bind the sacrifice of fears, desires, and old identities—to the altar of awareness so they may be offered and transfigured by love. In this sacred act, blessings stream from the inner house into my life, and what I bless returns as light; what I offer is consumed in the altar of consciousness, awakening the world within me to its true divinity.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume the state 'I am the LORD' here and now; feel the inner light rise and deliberately bind your old thoughts to the altar of awareness with a grateful breath.
