The psalm describes enemies surrounding the speaker. It asserts victory through the LORD’s name.
Neville's Inner Vision
Seen through Neville’s inner-science, the surrounding nations are not distant armies but currents of thought pressing in on your awareness. The LORD's name becomes the I AM within—your unchanging, all-possessing presence that stands behind every sensation. When the verse says, in the LORD's name I will destroy them, you are invited to destroy your false identifications, not others’ acts. The bees symbolize incessant buzzing worries, while the fire of thorns represents urgency and fear. Both fade as you rest in the steady reality of I AM, knowing that this awareness dissolves the sense of threat. The outer scene may persist, but the inner ruler—your consciousness as I AM—reigns supreme, and the appearances are merely modifications within that perception. Thus the psalm becomes a manual for inner conversion: fix attention on the LORD within, imagine the entire surrounding pressure melted by that presence, and allow your peace to rise as the memory of who you are. When you live from that identification, the sense of attack yields to calm, and the ‘enemies’ lose their claim.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes. Assume the I AM as your present reality and revise the scene: I am the I AM; all around me dissolves in this presence. Feel the pressure fade from chest to crown.
