Psalms 117:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 117 in context

Scripture Focus

1O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
Psalms 117:1

Biblical Context

Psalms 117:1 invites all nations and all people to praise the LORD. The call is less about outward ritual and more about the inner posture of gratitude and reverence.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the scripture, the word 'nations' and 'people' symbolize the manifold states of consciousness that claim your attention. The true universal invitation is not to travel to a distant temple, but to awaken to the I AM present as your awareness. When you imagine praising the LORD, you are not praising a deity outside you; you are acknowledging the I AM that you are, and you draw all your inner voices into harmony. Each 'nation'—fear, desire, memory, hope—hears the call and aligns itself with the one Presence. In that alignment, the sense of separation dissolves and a single Presence, the Presence of God, fills your inner arena. Imagination creates reality; by supposing, feeling, and assenting that you are now in constant praise, you enact the condition of fulfillment. The verse is your reminder that worship is a state of consciousness in which gratitude and trust saturate thought, until outward events reflect the inner unity you already affirm.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine all the inner voices of your mind rising in a single chorus of praise to the I AM within. Then assume you are already in that harmony and let gratitude flood your thoughts, knowing Presence now.
