Biblical Context
The psalmist loves the LORD because He has heard his voice and pleas; since God has inclined His ear, the speaker vows to call on Him as long as he lives.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your hearing of God in this verse is not a distant event, but an inner state of consciousness. When the psalmist says 'I love the LORD, because He hath heard my voice,' he is naming a certainty that your own I AM can claim: awareness has taken up your petition, and therefore your desire is already acknowledged. The 'ear inclined unto me' is the turning of attention—your inner attention—toward the very place where your life is known. In that moment, you are not begging for an answer; you are confirming that your own awareness has received the request and is prepared to respond. To 'call upon Him as long as I live' is to persist in the state that the request is fulfilled, not as a future event but as your present condition. The practice is to dwell in the impression of being heard—feeling gratitude, rest, and assurance as the I AM attends to your inner petition. Remember, God is not outside you; God is the I AM within, hearing you and responding as your own consciousness, shaping your world from the space of awareness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume the feeling that you are heard by the I AM. Silently repeat 'I am heard, I am attended to' while imagining God inclining His ear to your inner voice; rest in that certainty for a minute.
