Read Psalms 114 in context

Scripture Focus

7Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
Psalms 114:7-8

Biblical Context

Verse 7-8 shows the earth trembling at the Lord's presence and God turning rock into standing water, and flint into a fountain of waters. Metaphorically, this invites us to see inner life where consciousness itself becomes provision.

Neville's Inner Vision

Observe that the tremble of the earth is the shiver of your old self when the I AM intrudes as present awareness. The Lord's presence is not a distant sky event but the realization that you are God in expression—the God of Jacob within you. When you dwell in that awareness, the rock of limitation yields to your imagination and becomes standing water; the flint, hard as habit, dissolves into a fountain of living waters. The Psalm's external pictures are symbolic pictures of inner movements: belief stands fast until the I AM looks upon it, and then the stone softens into flow. This is not history; it is your inner law in operation. The moment you assume, 'I am,' you release the energy that turns driest sectors into abundance, fear into trust, scarcity into providence. Providence and guidance unfold as your awareness expands. The mercy you seek is the mercy you already are when you stop seeking and simply notice the presence within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare 'I AM' as the presence within you here and now. Imagine the rock of limitation dissolving into a spring, filling you with living water.
