Fearless Heart, Trusting God

Psalms 112:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 112 in context

Scripture Focus

7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
Psalms 112:7-8

Biblical Context

Psalm 112:7-8 says the righteous fear no evil tidings and keep a heart fixed in the LORD. Their heart is established, secure in trust, until their desires shine forth against opposition.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that fear is dissolved not by changing outer events but by clinging to a single inner posture: a fixed heart that trusts the LORD within. To 'trust in the LORD' is to trust the I AM you are—the unchanging awareness that cannot be shaken by tidings. The fixed heart is a consciousness anchored in the certainty that you and your desires are one with the Life that births them. The enemies symbolize appearances that tempt doubt; they do not dictate your fate. When your inner state is established, you do not chase results with force, but remain quietly convinced of what is already true and let the outer scene harmonize with that inner truth. Fear fades as you live from the conclusion that your desires are already seen upon the opposition. Your act is to assume this state and revise each report of evil until the image holds you.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the fixed state now—feel the I AM within as unwavering trust and the wish already fulfilled. When tidings arise, revise them to that inner certainty and allow the outer scene to reflect it.
