Biblical Context
Psalm 111:5-8 speaks of God’s provision for the faithful and His fidelity to the covenant. It also proclaims that His works, judgments, and commandments are true, sure, and enduring.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within these lines, fear of the Lord is seen not as dread but as a steady state of conscious awareness. When it says He hath given meat unto them that fear Him, it is the inner nourishment that comes to the aware I AM who trusts the covenant you have declared within. The power of His works which is shown to His people is the proof of inner activity--your imaginative acts, consistently fed by faith, bringing forth the heritage of the heathen as outer conditions transformed by inner truth. The works of His hands are verity and judgment; all His commandments are sure. This is the law written in consciousness: truths that stand fast for ever and ever, done in truth and uprightness. Thus, by aligning with this inner order, you realize that what you call 'provision' is the natural consequence of a faithful state, while seeming obstacles are but misperceptions dissolving under the light of your covenant imagination. The outer world mirrors your inward fidelity to the I AM; walk in that truth and you will see the promised order established.
Practice This Now
Assume the state, 'I am nourished by my covenant now,' and revise any lack by affirming inner provision, then rest in that feeling for five minutes, letting it feel real.
