Inner Covenant Wisdom
Psalms 111:5-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 111 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm affirms provision for those who honor God, the endurance of His covenant, and the faithfulness of His laws; wisdom begins with fearing the LORD and keeping His commandments.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the still inner scripture, the Psalm tells me that those who fear the LORD are fed by the abundance of their inner covenant; I realize provision is not out there but within, where imagination and reverent attention dwell. The 'works of His hands' I interpret as the consistent outcomes of my daily inner choices—verities I accept as real in consciousness—so the heritage of the heathen becomes the unused beliefs I shed. Every commandment I keep is a lock turned in the inner door, securing truth and uprightness as my living order. Redemption is not history but a present redirection of attention: the I AM redeeming every moment from lack by aligning me with its law. When I acknowledge that fear of the LORD is beginning of wisdom, I do not tremble at consequences but awaken to a disciplined inner sight that sees through seeming outward conditions. My good understanding arises as I live in harmony with this inward covenant, and my praise endures as the activity of a soul fed by abiding truth.
Practice This Now
Assume the covenant is already established within me; feel the sense of abundance and wise discernment as if it were my present experience. Quietly dwell in the I AM, repeating 'The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom' until it anchors as inner conviction.
