Biblical Context
Psalm 111:4-7 speaks of remembering God's wonderful works and His gracious, compassionate nature; it also notes that He feeds those who fear Him, remains mindful of His covenant, and that the works and commandments He imposes are true and sure.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider these verses as a map of consciousness. The remembrance of His wonderful works is not a distant catalogue but a call to awaken to the memory of your own I AM. God’s graciousness and compassion are states you enter by attention, not events you chase; to fear Him is to honor the inner covenant you keep with the divine within. When you align with that covenant, you are nourished by the inner abundance that feeds your being; this is the sense in which He feeds those who fear Him. The verse about the power of His works revealing the heritage of the heathen becomes a symbol that your life inherits whatever you declare as real through awareness. The works of His hands, verity and judgment, signify the laws you choose to acknowledge as true; when you accept them as sure, your world mirrors their reliability. The whole psalm invites you to dwell in the circumference of a single, immutable truth: your life reforms according to the fidelity of your inner vision.
Practice This Now
Assume you already enjoy the Lord's gracious provision. Repeat to yourself, I AM the gracious presence, living under the covenant, and feel that the divine works sustain you now.
