Remembering Divine Grace Within
Psalms 111:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 111 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse tells us that God's wonderful works are to be remembered, and that He is gracious and full of compassion.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember that the text speaks not to a distant deity but to your own I AM, your living consciousness that calls itself by many names. When it says He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered, it invites you to recall the creative acts already performed by awareness—moments when you stood still and knew, amid fear or want, that you were sustained by a favorable order. The memory is not passive; it is a discipline of inner attention. To be remembered is to be revived in the present, so that your next feeling, thought, or event is drawn from that well of grace. And when the verse declares the LORD is gracious and full of compassion, it proclaims the nature of your own I AM: a gracious, compassionate urge that inclines you toward gentleness, generosity, and mercy toward yourself and others. By assuming this state in the imagination, you release the divine favor and invite guidance to flow through every situation.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and recall a moment of grace you have experienced. Then assume that this grace is your present state of consciousness, saying, I AM grace and compassion now until it feels real.
