Biblical Context
Psalm 111:1-3 invites wholehearted praise in the assembly of the upright and proclaims the greatness of the Lord's works and the righteousness that endures.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the inner listener, the LORD is not distant but the I AM within you—the consciousness that can praise itself into more clarity. When you declare you will praise the LORD with your whole heart, you are naming a state of being, not a ritual. The assembly of the upright and the congregation become inner dispositions, the alignment of integrity, courage, and love within your mind. The works of the LORD are great because imagination is the instrument through which reality is formed; seeking them is seeking the grand designs already alive in your inner workshop. His work is honorable and glorious, and his righteousness endureth forever, a truth you revise into present experience. By entering the feeling of an unshakable righteousness, seeing yourself as the upright company, every thought becomes a witness to those mighty works. Repeat, imagine, and feel it real: you dwell in a realm where praise and virtue are the same act, and the outer life follows from this inner revelation.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled: you praise with your whole heart and stand among the upright. Then imagine the great works of the Lord unfolding in your life as an outer sign of the inner revelation.
