Scripture Focus

1Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
2The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
3His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.
5He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
6He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.
7The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
8They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
9He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.
10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Biblical Context

Psalm 111:1–10 extols praising the LORD, recounts His mighty works, covenant mercy, and the beginning of wisdom in reverent obedience.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within, Psalm 111 becomes a manual for consciousness. I praise the Lord with my whole heart by assuming the fulfillment that already resides in me. The assembly of the upright represents the inner company of thoughts I summon—quiet, loyal, and aligned with truth. The works of the LORD are great; I recognize the great ideas and orderly events now moving in my life, cherished by a mind that delights in harmony. His work is honorable and glorious; when I live in truth, my deeds stand fast, enduring in righteousness. He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; I remember the streams of grace within me, and compassion wells up as a present reality. He gives meat to them that fear Him; I feast on the covenant I hold with my divine nature, mindful of it now. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: reverence for my I AM yields discernment and good understanding. This is my heritage, secured by truth, forever in uprightness, and my praise will endure.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and stand in the inner assembly of the upright; feel the fullness of the Lord already real in you. Then declare the covenant fulfilled in your life and let the sensation of it—gratitude, ease, and abundance—wash over you.
