Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse speaks of an inner strength that comes from Zion within you. It calls you to reign in the midst of opposition by that inner power.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Neville, the LORD is the I AM, your constant awareness. The line 'send the rod of thy strength out of Zion' means the power you seek flows from your inner sanctuary, the Zion of your consciousness. The rod is imagination itself when used as decree; you are not summoning something outside, you are awakening an already present force. When you rule in the midst of thine enemies, the enemies are inner oppositions—fear, doubt, habit—brought into check by your sovereign state. Zion is your current state of awakened being; out of it comes the power that makes reality bend to your word. Practice by assuming the end you desire and feeling it as real now; let the rod move through the mind until scenes align with your decree. In that feeling-real state, you will find that the outer world shifts to reflect your inner sovereignty.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and feel the I AM within. Assume you already reign; picture a rod of light rising from your inner Zion and sweeping across your thoughts until fear and doubt dissolve.
