Inner Psalm 11:6-7 Revelation

Psalms 11:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 11 in context

Scripture Focus

6Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
7For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
Psalms 11:6-7

Biblical Context

Plainly, the Psalm contrasts the wicked receiving punishment and the upright being seen and cherished by the LORD. It speaks of accountability and the Lord's steadfast care for righteousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the wicked and upright are not others apart from you, but states of your own consciousness. When you dwell in fear and resistance, you unleash inner weather—a rain of snares, fire, and tempest—that becomes the experience you call outward life. The cup you drink is the effect of believing in separation from your I AM. Yet the LORD's countenance is your awareness that you are the offspring of divine presence; when you honor righteousness—steadfast alignment with your true nature—the inner gaze of God beholds you as upright. The wicked fades as you stop feeding it with images of threat and instead let the inner assurance that you are seen, protected, and dignified by God govern your feeling and imagination. The appearance of judgment is simply a translation of your currents of thought; you awaken when you revise the scene, asserting I am the upright and feeling the reality of being seen, protected, and loved by God. In practice, your imagination must lean into the assumption that you are already righteous in Gods sight, and let that reality color every sensation and action.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, declare I am the upright, and feel the LORD’s loving gaze resting on you as the I AM. Revise any fear as a passing weather—let the felt truth of your wholeness govern your imagination now.
