Inner Judgment Alchemy

Psalms 11:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 11 in context

Scripture Focus

5The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
6Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
Psalms 11:5-6

Biblical Context

The LORD tests the righteous; the wicked and those who love violence are despised, and calamity is the portion of the wicked.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine the LORD as your own I AM, the calm, knowing awareness that witnesses every thought. The testing of the righteous is not a distant verdict but a present invitation to revise the state you entertain. When you align with the quiet, just energy within, you enter the 'righteous' condition—the inner disposition that summons harmony and clear seeing. The wicked, and those who love violence, are not other people; they are the unrevised impulses of fear, resistance, and aggression arising in consciousness. The 'snares, fire and brimstone, and a horrible tempest' are dramatic symbols for inner storms—beliefs that the world is outside of you and hostile to your will. Your cup becomes what you drink: doubt, separation, threat. Yet you can revise. See that the I AM within you is the source of all you observe; to judge the outer is to judge your inner state. Embrace mercy, integrity, and love, and let that inner alignment transform the weather of your life. By remaining faithful to the I AM, you are the judge, but also the healer of your world.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and declare, I am the I AM; I stand in righteousness now. Then revise any fear or violent impulse by affirming, In this moment, the world reflects my calm assurance, and feel the truth rising as real.
