Biblical Context
Psalm 11:2-3 shows enemies shooting at the upright in heart, and asks what the righteous can do when foundations seem destroyed. It invites you to see foundations as inner states of consciousness, not external rocks.
Neville's Inner Vision
Fear not, for the arrows of the wicked are only the whisper of your old thoughts pressed upon your awareness. The upright in heart is not a person but a state of consciousness—the I AM you are, right here and now. When foundations appear to tremble, you are being invited to revise, not retreat. The scene is not a verdict of external ruin but a summons to claim command of your inner landscape. Imagination is your reality-maker: to keep the mental image of wholeness intact is to keep the foundations intact. The bow and arrow are symbols of belief moving through your attention; as you hold to the conviction that you are inevitable, unshakable, the outer world must align to your inner posture. The term 'wicked' can be read as resistant thoughts that oppose your truth; allow them to pass, but do not grant them residence. Remember: God is the I AM, and you are that very awareness. When you insist that you are whole, secure, and righteous, you awaken a state that cannot be disturbed by appearances. Thus you endure, renew, and restore your foundations by a simple act of faith-filled imagination.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and, in the I AM, revise the scene: the foundations are intact and the upright in heart stands firm. Feel the certainty as if it were already true, and dwell there for a few breaths.
