Psalms 108:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 108 in context

Scripture Focus

5Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
6That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
Psalms 108:5-6

Biblical Context

Be thou exalted above the heavens, and thy glory above all the earth, is a call for God's supremacy. It also pleads for the beloved's deliverance, asking for help and an answer.

Neville's Inner Vision

Lift your entire notion of self to the image of God within you, exalted above every fear and limitation. When you hear Be thou exalted, you are not addressing a distant deity but acknowledging the I AM that is your awareness. The heavens and the earth of lesser self-states fall away before the glory of the indwelling God. The beloved—whether your own true self or those you care for—finds deliverance as your mind yields to the right-hand power that acts through consciousness. The right hand is not force from without but the active principle of truth within you. In this inner act, you do not beg for favor; you revise your sense of being until it aligns with divine order, and you answer yourself with unwavering faith that the moment of resolution is now. When you feel the response—answers, relief, restoration—coming from that inner glory, you have witnessed the promise: the beloved is saved by the power resident as your awareness.

Practice This Now

Practice: sit quietly, image God within enthroned above every thought; center your attention on I AM as the right-hand power delivering you. Feel it real by repeating a simple revision: 'Be thou exalted in me now; deliverance is mine'.
