Read Psalms 107 in context

Scripture Focus

41Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
42The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
Psalms 107:41-42

Biblical Context

The verse says God lifts the poor from affliction and makes their state prosperous; the righteous see this and rejoice, while iniquity is silenced.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the 'poor' as a state within you, a sense of lack. When you assume the I AM is lifting that state from affliction, you seed a truth that consciousness must realize. 'Seteth he the poor on high' means your inner condition is raised above circumstance; 'families like a flock' signals many proofs of this truth multiplying in your life. The 'righteous' are those who behold the end in consciousness and rejoice, for they have already seen victory within. 'All iniquity shall stop her mouth' speaks of fear, doubt, and resentment silenced by steady feeling of the wish fulfilled. Do not chase change in the outer world; become the change in awareness. Live in the end, see with the inner eye, and permit this state to pass into form. The law works through consciousness; you are the I AM, and the world answers to your inner decree. Persist in this knowing, and you will witness the lifting from affliction and the multiplication of peace as proof that mercy and providence guide your steps.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and declare, 'I AM lifted from affliction now.' Feel that ascent as real in your chest and head, and maintain the sense for a minute, letting abundance multiply in your life.
