Biblical Context
Psalm 104:24-30 celebrates God's manifold works, the earth and sea filled with His riches, and the renewal of life through the Spirit. It shows creation as dependent on the I AM for nourishment and renewal.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this psalm, the cosmos is a mirror of your inner states. The earth, the sea, the ships and the leviathan are images of your faculties, waiting on the I AM for sustenance. When you acknowledge the I AM as the source of all breath and nourishment, you see that life flows as you dwell in that awareness. The line 'thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good' becomes a directive for your inner economy: as you assume the feeling of abundance, your inner world feeds you in due season. To 'send forth thy Spirit' is to permit new ideas, inspirations, and opportunities to be created in your mind, renewing the face of your earth. When you fear or hide your face, life seems to falter; renewal is always possible by turning attention inward and assuming the state of abundance. Creation you witness is the outward mirror of the inner I AM. Practice daily, and your world answers to your renewed consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the I AM feeding you in due season. Revise any sense of lack into abundance by feeling the Spirit renewing your inner earth.
