Scripture Focus

10He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.
11They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.
12By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.
13He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
15And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
16The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
17Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
18The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.
Psalms 104:10-18

Biblical Context

God provides living waters that sustain every creature and nourish the earth. The verse shows how provision comes through divine order and natural abundance.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner economy of consciousness, Psalm 104:10-18 describes the I AM sending springs into the valleys of the mind, quenching thirst and sustaining every creature that emerges from desire. The springs, flowing among the hills, symbolize the constant influx of divine life into your landscape of thoughts and feelings, watering the branches of your imagination and giving habitation to your inner birdsong. When the waters water the hills from within the chambers of God, the earth—your experiences—becomes satisfied with the fruit of your inner works. The grass that grows for cattle and the herbs for man’s service reflect your inner provisions maturing into outer form: nourishment, vitality, and the energy to create. The wine that gladdens the heart, the oil that makes the face shine, and bread that strengthens the heart point to the sustained, joyful energy of a mind aligned with its source. The trees are full of sap and the cedars planted by the Lord mirror a life rooted in divine life; nests in trees signify a secure inner home, while high hills and rocks provide refuge. All of this proclaims that abundance is the natural condition of a mind in harmony with I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine a spring in your mind’s valley: the waters rise, quenching every dry thought. Now assume, with feeling, 'I am supplied by the I AM; abundance grows from within as I recognize and dwell in this inner provision.'
