Psalms 104:10-12

Biblical Context

God provides living waters by sending springs into valleys, quenching the thirst of beasts and giving birds a home among the trees. This reveals a pattern of Providence and orderly presence throughout creation.

Neville's Inner Vision

Assume that the springs are not outside you, but the living activity of your own I AM awareness. The valleys and hills you cross are your inner dispositions; the streams that run through them are the movements of consciousness that nourish every longing. When you feel supported by a steady inner current, the beasts of your field - your needs, appetites, habits - drink from the springs and are satisfied. The fowls of the heaven, singing among the branches, stand for thoughts and loves nesting in your imagination. The verse points to Providence as an inner certainty, the daily appearing of life as your own awareness operating with mercy. To work with it, dwell in the feeling that the waters of life are always present within, ready to quench thirst and sustain growth. As you revise your sense of self to align with this inner order, your world responds: situations, people, and opportunities reflect the nourishing, guiding currents of consciousness, and you experience the sense of being led by the living I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume the I AM is the spring within you. Revise your current situation by affirming that the waters of life are flowing here, now, nourishing every part of you.
