Psalms 103:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 103 in context

Scripture Focus

9He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Psalms 103:9-10

Biblical Context

God’s rebuke is temporary, and His anger does not endure. He does not reward us according to our sins or iniquities.

Neville's Inner Vision

Read the lines as a map of your inner weather. God is the I AM - the constant awareness that does not chide you from afar but shows you the state you are occupying. The anger spoken of is not a punitive deity; it is the temper of a mind lost in guilt. When the psalm declares He will not always chide, it is telling you that your present state can outgrow anger by returning to the steadfast I AM. To say He has not dealt with us after our sins is to acknowledge that the true self is unaffected by yesterday's mistakes; your identity is not a ledger of sins but a being of mercy and grace. If you accept forgiveness in consciousness - feel it as real now - the past disappears from your sense of present reality, and the future becomes a natural outgrowth of grace. You are not courting favor; you are becoming aware of your already-existing favor, and the outer world follows your inner reconciliation.

Practice This Now

Assume the state, 'I am forgiven and free.' Feel the anger melt and the past dissolve into light.
