Neville's Inner Vision
Read as the inner law speaking through you, Psalm 103:6-18 reveals that righteousness and mercy begin in your own consciousness. The LORD’s acts toward the oppressed are the mind’s correction when you stop blaming circumstance and align with the I AM—the true you that sees through appearances. The LORD is merciful and gracious—this is the steady feeling you cultivate when you permit yourself to rest in divine benevolence. He will not always chide, nor keep anger forever, because within your inner world the old story of guilt can be dissolved by a firm assumption of present grace. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities—this is your revision: you are not defined by yesterday but by the living presence of God within. As the heaven is high above the earth, so is mercy toward them that fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far are your past transgressions removed. To keep covenant is to live in harmony with this inner law, and to remember His commandments is to enact them in present experience.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, breathe into the I AM, and imagine mercy as your natural state. Then revise one past error by declaring, 'I am forgiven now,' letting the feeling of release permeate your mind.
