Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Psalm 103 invites you to bless the Lord with all that you are and not forget the benefits: forgiveness, healing, redemption, lovingkindness, and renewal.
Neville's Inner Vision
Bless the Lord, O my soul, is the command to align your entire being with the truth that the I AM is the source of all there is. The psalmist does not beg for mercy; it declares that mercy, forgiveness, healing, and renewal are states already established within your consciousness. When I consent to these conditions, I do not change God; I change the way I think of myself. Forgiving all iniquities becomes the inner revision that redefines what I have done as no longer defining who I am. Healing all thy diseases becomes the present sensation of wellness in the imagination, felt until it spreads through the body and life. Redemption from destruction is the liberation of mind from fear, the sense that I am spared by an ever-present kindness. Lovingkindness and tender mercies crown my life; satisfaction comes as I feed my mind with good things and thereby renew my youth like the eagle. The whole psalm invites me to dwell in a state where God’s goodness is my habitual mood, here and now.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit quietly, place your hand on your chest, repeat 'I am blessed now,' and imagine the benefits (forgiveness, healing, renewal) as already real in your life. Let the feeling linger until it feels like your natural state.
