Read Psalms 102 in context

Scripture Focus

1Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
2Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
Psalms 102:1-2

Biblical Context

The verse is a heartfelt petition for God to hear and answer quickly in distress. It frames prayer as a conscious turn toward divine presence that steadies the shaken mind.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner sanctuary of your being, the cry 'Hear my prayer' is not reaching outward but awakening your I AM to attend. 'Hide not thy face' becomes your willingness to stop pretending you are separate from the One who is always present. When you say 'incline thine ear unto me' you are actually inviting your own awareness to lean in, to listen to the gentle, inner assurance that you are seen. The trouble of the day is the surface movement of a fixed state; the speed of the response depends on your decision to dwell in the truth that you are heard because you are the hearing itself. Mercy comes as the natural mood of your consciousness when you refuse to dramatize lack and instead rest in the certainty that the divine Listen-er answers in the moment you dwell in that awareness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and fix your attention on the I AM within. Repeat silently, 'I am heard; I am answered now,' and feel the body settle as if the divine ear is already turned toward you.
